RUNDTEST COLOUR FASTNESS

The RUNDTEST COLOUR FASTNESS (Round Robin Test for Colour Fastness) was brought into being in 2000; where production laboratories, institutes, universities, and dyestuffs and equipment manufacturers worldwide take part. The following colour fastnesses are currently included in the round robin test:

Six test specimens for the above-mentioned fastnesses, already prepared and cut to size, are dispatched to each participant three times a year. Since both single-fibre and multi-fibre fabrics are permitted for fastness to washing, perspiration and water under the relevant ISO standards, each participant is thus provided with sufficient testing material to perform both versions. Furthermore, the grading can be stated according to the conventional method, visually using the grey scale, and/or using a colour measurement system. Further data such as the name of the testing instrument, instrument settings (parameters such as temperature and moisture in the sample room for fastness to light) and testing solutions (e.g. type of washing powder) are also requested and listed in the evaluation.

The test results are recorded centrally, quoting a laboratory code number, and thus evaluated neutrally in a report. An example of an evaluation you will find at downloads. Each participant receives written confirmation of participation at the end of each calendar year (see illustration).

Participants in the RUNDTEST COLOUR FASTNESS are invoiced with 690.00 CHF per year as a contribution to expenses.
